The importance of leadership from start-up founders and promoting partnerships between African businesses

On 19 September 2024, the 3rd edition of the Rentrée Numérique, organised by GAINDE 2000, brought together the main players in the sector, including TransNumerik, SENUM, SONATEL, OPTIC and CTIC. They discussed the main theme ’Developments in Artificial Intelligence and the challenges of employment‘This is an important question in the current context of strong digitalisation and major economic transformations.

At this major event, which included four workshops and two panels, our CEO spoke on the theme of ’What kind of growth model for digital start-ups in a digitised economy?‘His speech was particularly noteworthy for highlighting the importance of the leadership of start-up founders and the promotion of partnerships between African businesses.

In his view, for Africa to be able to truly exploit its digital potential, it is imperative that start-up leaders assert themselves more strongly and that collaboration between local businesses is encouraged. These elements are, in his words, essential to boosting our economies.

This intervention reaffirms the vision of TransNumerik  : “Together we achieve more, alone we achieve very little‘. It's a powerful message that has particular resonance at a time when intra-African cooperation is becoming an essential lever for meeting the challenges and seizing the opportunities of the digital age.
